Sun, Dec 14

|

Second Shapes Bookstore

This month, we're gathering at Second Shapes Bookstore to reclaim the crone - the wise one, the witch, the keeper of power through lived experience. Through reflection, sharing, and co-creation, we'll explore what this threshold offers us and what it means to rise up instead of disappearing.

About the Event

Crone Café is a new type of circle.

Join us for the first Crone Cafe: Reclaiming Crone

In ancient traditions, the crone was the wise one, the healer, the keeper of knowledge. They were the witch - someone who held power through experience, intuition, and connection to the cycles of life and death. The crone was the elder you sought out, the one who had crossed thresholds and returned with wisdom.

Then the witch trials came. The burning times. Centuries of systematic destruction of power held by those who challenged patriarchal control, especially people who were post-reproductive, who spoke truth, who held community knowledge, who didn't need approval to survive. The crone became something to fear, to mock, to erase.

But that power never actually left. It just went underground. Now we're bringing it back.
