A note from Emily
I'm evolving, and so is my work. After going through surgical menopause in my 30s, I realized how much I needed community that understood this transition—and how little of it existed. So I'm creating it.

Crone Café is a new gathering series I'm launching to bring people together around perimenopause, menopause, and reclaiming the power of this life phase. It's part of Second Threshold, my coaching and community work for early menopause.

This first gathering is happening here on Green Flame Community because this is where my people are—and I wanted you to be part of it from the beginning.

Soon, Crone Cafe will have its own home at thecronecafe.com, but for now, we're starting right here. If you've been part of Green Flame for years or you're discovering my work through this event, you're welcome. This is about building something together.

    Crone Café - Reclaiming Crone
    Sun, Dec 14
    Second Shapes Bookstore
This month, we're gathering at Second Shapes Bookstore to reclaim the crone - the wise one, the witch, the keeper of power through lived experience. Through reflection, sharing, and co-creation, we'll explore what this threshold offers us and what it means to rise up instead of disappearing.
  • Crone Café - Rage & Rest
Crone Café - Rage & Rest
    Sun, Jan 11
    Second Shapes Bookstore
This month, we gather to explore winter's wisdom: rage as catalyst and rest as transformation. Through reflection and conversation, we'll alchemize anger into clarity, boundaries, and reclaimed power. What looks dormant is changing at the root. Bring it all.

About Circles

Why do we circle?

Moon circles and seasonal circles are rituals that have been practiced by various cultures throughout history. It involves gathering in a circle during a specific moon phase or season and performing rituals and ceremonies, related to the moon phase and sign. Also, to dismantle the patriarchy. Circling and attuning to our inner wisdom is a radical act. When we form community around our individual and collective truth, intuition, and power, we help create an emotionally and spiritually evolved society.

Who does our circle serve?

Our Circles are offered to marginalized genders including non-binary, trans, women, and gender non-conforming people. Together, we will practice aligning with the cycles of nature, reflecting, slowing down, listening to our inner guidance, sharing with one another, and building community.

We acknowledge and honor the intersectionality of race, gender, and identity. We are committed to creating experiences that are inclusive, accessible, and affirming for all individuals, recognizing the unique challenges and strengths that arise from these intersecting identities. It is our intention to foster a space where everyone feels seen, valued, and supported.

What to expect

Our circles follow the same general flow, but sometimes shift based on the season and needs of the group. Here is what you can expect:

ARRIVE - intros, pronouns, and share how you are arriving to the circle.

ALIGN - turn inward, learn about the season, the moon's energy, and what that means.

REFLECT - journal prompts to self-reflect on how the moon cycle is showing up in your life.

SHARE - partners or triads, sharing and listening with others.

MEDITATION or ACTIVITY - guided meditation or other introspective activity.

REFLECT - journal prompt/post meditation reflections.

CIRCLE SHARE - option to share with everyone in the circle.

CLOSING - share how you are leaving the circle.

about

I was very nervous heading into my first circle. I had never done anything like this before. The group was so friendly and welcoming though. Emily was an incredible host and made the space feel so safe. I'm kind of amazed at how quickly I felt comfortable enough to let my walls down. I never felt any pressure to share if I didn't want to. There was something magical about this space though that made me feel like I could open up and connect with others. I will absolutely be going again and am very much looking forward to it.

Jane

trans woman, neurodivergent,

Polish/Scandinavian ancestry

I would recommend this Circle to folks who would enjoy a deeper, more magical connection to themselves and the other magical beings who attend. Newbies should know that every step of the way is clear, supportive and safe. You are 100% at choice how deep you go and how much you share.

Lucy

cisgender woman, straight, white

I would recommend sharing that you feel nervous because it's likely that others (even repeat attendees) feel the same way. I have confidence in the facilitator and other members of the group to create a space free of pressure to share out of your comfort zone.

Sarah

bisexual, temporarily able-bodied,

Northwestern European ancestry

Trust your intuition, you're interested in this space and community for a reason. I was nervous and not sure what to expect my first time at circle. By the end of the first session I felt belonging and connection with others as I am. An experience I keep coming back to share.

Monique

Cisgender woman, exploring non-binary spectrum, pansexual, Caucasian

Magic possibilities of  Circle

Empowerment Through Shared Experience

In Circle, we speak from the heart and share from our own direct experience. This fosters a sense of empowerment and authenticity as we connect with others who are also speaking their truths. Through collective storytelling, we honor each person’s unique journey, creating a deeper sense of belonging and self-empowerment.

Healing in a Safe and Supportive Environment

By committing to confidentiality and respecting privacy, the Circle creates a container for healing where individuals can express themselves without fear of judgment or exposure. This sense of safety allows participants to release emotional burdens, heal old wounds, and find peace within themselves.

A Sense of Connection and Belonging

Circle provides a space where everyone is seen and valued. Whether you're from a marginalized community or simply seeking connection, being in Circle nurtures feelings of solidarity and belonging. You are not alone in your journey—this is a space to feel deeply supported by others who share your values of compassion and respect.

Personal Growth and Transformation

In the collective energy of Circle, personal growth can blossom. Whether through shared wisdom, meditation, or intentional reflection, participants are encouraged to grow spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. The Circle serves as a mirror, allowing us to see ourselves more clearly, recognize patterns, and take steps toward healing and transformation.

Nurturing Compassion for Yourself and Others

Circle emphasizes compassion—both for ourselves and others. By practicing kindness and understanding in a group setting, participants learn to hold space for their own vulnerabilities and the vulnerabilities of others. This practice of compassion fosters a deeper connection with oneself and with those around us.

Moments of Stillness and Reflection

Circle honors the power of stillness and silence. These quiet moments allow participants to reflect, center themselves, and access deeper levels of intuition and wisdom. Through stillness, we can connect with the magic of the present moment and allow inner peace to emerge.

Clarity and Insight Through Shared Wisdom

Circle creates a space for collective wisdom to emerge. Each participant brings their unique perspective, and together, we gain insights that we might not have accessed alone. Sharing in the experience of others opens the door to new perspectives, guidance, and clarity on our own life path.

A Source of Support and Accountability

Being part of a community that values honesty, respect, and mutual growth creates an ongoing system of support. Whether you're navigating personal challenges, seeking guidance, or celebrating milestones, Circle holds you accountable and provides a network of like-minded individuals who are there to support your journey. The relationships built in Circle offer lasting encouragement and connection beyond the gathering.
